and so...
4 weeks into internship. ><
and i dun think i really learnt anything.
i just know that... i so don't wanna be like the ladies in my office in the future..
NOOOOOO. =(
ok nvm. hard to elaborate.
and wow. im really getting exhausted.
the week after this will be "debbie-goes-home-straight-after-work" week.
or i'll try to make it so.
i wanna nua at home and feel no life and go on msn and have frivolous conversations.
sounds good eh? (=
anyway, dropped by the library on monday!
and borrowed 4 veryveryVERY different books.
1. The Mozart Conspiracy by Scott Mariani
[Thriller/Terror]
hmm, an attempt to do a dan brown i think. not that successful.
some stuff were quite expected.
the last few chapters were abit... needless. could have just ended it earlier. because it was so predictable once you realised there were like 2 chapters remaining and there were loose ends dangling.
2. Blue-eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas
[Romance]
hahaha. i actually indulged in romance novels leh! started on them after reading debbie macomber. [namesake ma] this book was kinda nice. i think. haha. was very troubled by some of the horrible things that happened to the lead. and i was sobbing on the bus while reading it. embarrassing. ><
its nice and cheesy and easy to read. and now i feel like reading her first book "sugar daddy!"
yay!
3. Mismatch by Tami Hoag
[Romance]
yet another romance novel! amazing right!? hahaha. cuz they were promoting that series of books la. so i decided to read it anyway. its erm... boring?
basically just 2 different ppl lor?! really just the title. quite waste my time la. -_-.
esp with the frequent LONG ELABORATE descriptions of their sex escapades. -_-
4. The Return of the Black Widowers by Isaac Asimov
[MYSTERY}
AMAZING HOR! not science fiction. i have seriously fallen in love with mr i.a. (=
his writings are so amazingly amazing! [ok u can see that i have limited vocabulary here]
but yep, besides having the lovely foundation saga, he writes amazing mystery stories. and this being a collection of short stories, it was just so damn easy to read and enjoy!
good good book!
ok. and because i actually hit the 4 books maximum, i couldn't borrow any science fiction books. =(
sad.
i really should keep doing book reviews!
i think another trip to the library is in order! (=
a lot of joy [and tears cough cough] is derived from it!
and oh! im halfway motivated to try to train to run a something. of course not a 42km marathon la. but... maybe halfway there? HAHAHAHA.
ok sounds like a joke...
--------------
quiz frm fb. and i kinda agree with it. hmm..
Your mask is strength. You try hard to fend for yourself. You do not let others do things for you. You often need to be in control of a situation, even if you can't handle it alone. You are always putting on a front, even if you don't feel strong at all. You don't let others see you when you're vulnerable, because you barely let your self be. Despite your flaws of always trying to act strong, you are a strong person, with strong character that can do anything you put your mind to. A lot of the times you really don't need anyone, and are perfectly capable on your own. However, there are times you find yourself wanting to let someone in but are not really sure how to..
